Hieronymus Imhof

Augsburg Renaissance tankard Silver, gilded. The conical body with volute handle on a wide base ring. The wall with flat chased and finely chased scrollwork on a matt ground. The domed hinged lid with corresponding decoration and scrolled thumb rest; crowned by an upright seated lion holding a shield. An engraved alliance coat of arms under the base, heraldically probably the coat of arms of the Valais von Werra family on the right.
