A Louis XVI-style relief cartouche, finely chased on both sides and crowned with a bow, with two flying cupids in a wreath of flowers, holding a heart shield with an arrow. The bow set with rose-cut and old-cut diamonds. The shield set in pavé with 12 old-cut diamonds, a heart-shaped ruby and a surrounding bar of calibrated rubies. Attached to a fine platinum chain. Stamped: French hallmark "tête de cheval" for gold from the provinces (Tardy, 161); fineness PT 950 (chain). Pendant lost. 5.0 x 4.0 cm. Total weight 23.88 g. France, around 1890.
