Con alte Stanze sopra gl'effetti della Luna : il ritratto d'una Fontana d'Overnia : et un'Apologiagenerale nella fine del libro. Lyon, Jean de Tournes, 1584. In-8, 245-[59] pages, brown calf, Renaissance gilt medallion at center of boards, gilt fillet, ribbed spine (later binding). Italian edition adorned with a portrait of Symeoni on the title, a medallion showing Diane de Poitiers - to whom the book is dedicated - with the emblems of huntress and 187 FIGURES ON WOOD by Bernard Salomon in repeated frames numbering 32, 6 of which presenting grotesque or licentious subjects, the others Moorish ornaments, with an italic eightain below each plate. At the end are the 2 opuscules: Apologia generale de M. Gabriello Symeoni... with a vignette depicting the author as Heracles and La Natura et effetti della luna... with the title in a frame and a large woodcut depicting the Fountain of Royat in Auvergne.
