This is the first edition of French commentaries by Claude Mignault, known as Minos, on the emblems of André Alciat, the famous Milanese jurisconsult. A final blank leaf bears the mark of Sébastien Gryphe? This Paris edition is illustrated with 195 PRETTY FIGURES BY PETIT BERNARD, followed by 14 other plates depicting trees: oak, willow, laurel, cypress, etc. One hinge cracked, small loss at top of f. 245, stains and small rings.
