In-folio of [22](of 64)-538-2bl.-[22]-1bl.-[1] pages, half-basin, smooth spine decorated (19th century binding). ORIGINAL EDITION of Antoine du Pinet's French translation, printed by Jean d'Ogerolles, and very rare, Baudrier can only quote his own copy, incomplete as this one is of the 42 pages of the medicinal table. The work is illustrated with some 600 wood-engraved PLANT ENGRAVINGS with their French, Italian or Spanish names, divided into 5 large sections, each opening with a large pictorial entablature and a magnificent sifted-background lettering.
