At the beginning of the scroll, a pen-and-ink drawing depicts two figures, possibly Mordecai and Haman. The scroll is written in neat Sephardic script. The scroll is housed in its original silver and silver filigree case, most of which is vermeiled, with a coral bead at the top. The part covering the parchment is removable and opens with a hinge.
