Foundry stamp: Fonte Lagenie 46 x 25 cm A reduction of the monument in the Square Saint-Hilaire in La Varenne (94), this bronze sculpture is in two parts, recounting the roundup of July 22, 1944, during which 28 children from the La Varenne Saint-Hilaire orphanage were taken to the Drancy camp before being sent to Auschwitz. One side shows two children trapped by barbed wire, while the other shows a couple rescuing a child.
