FLEMISH PRAYER BOOK. Liturgical manuscript in Latin and Flemish. 15th century (1475). Brown ink, rubricated with red or blue ink. Watermarked letters, three painted frames with gold highlights featuring acanthus leaves, flowers, etc. 193 ff. in-16 on vellum, including (5 ff. in fine in brown ink by a different hand). Modern folio notation in pencil. One leaf missing, torn off, between leaves 148 and 149. Brown calf [?] on wood, cold-stamped fillets, spandrels and central iron depicting a blessing Christ, four-ribbed spine restored with a piece of brown morocco, metal clasps partially preserved. Restoration to corners. Heavy wear to boards. Provenance: Bibliothèque T. Froissart (bookplate on the front cover).
