Prince's personally-owned and -worn black lace crop top vest with five snap buttons on the front, constructed of a thin black lace with floral designs. In fine condition. Prince regularly wore this type of lace vest from the mid-1980s through the early 90s, and is seen in numerous photos wearing nearly identical vests of the same cut and construction, but with the lace pattern appearing slightly different. Includes a letter of authenticity from Jeff Gold, the owner of Recordmecca and a former executive vice president/general manager of Warner Bros. Records, who worked closely with Prince during the 1990s, and art directed numerous album covers for him, including ‘Diamonds & Pearls,’ ’Love Symbol,’ and ‘The Hits/The B-Sides.’ He writes, in part: "This letter is to authenticate a custom made lace 'crop top' owned and worn by Prince. Numerous photographs show Prince wearing a nearly identical 'crop top' during live performances...This top was acquired via a former Paisley Park employee." A prime example of Prince's unique fashion sense.
