Albert Birkle (1900 Berlin - Salzburg 1986), Franziskus (glass window design). Paper faintly browned and slightly stained, with slight light-stain to upper edge. Surface partially slightly rubbed. Fine craquelure in the impasto color areas, in part with minimal losses of color. Sheet edges slightly irregular, with occasional small holes and losses. The right edge with three mounts probably blackened by the artist. Overall in good condition. Print of the 2nd edition from ca. 1920, published by I. B. Neumann, Berlin. Hofmaier 86 III B (from B). Watercolor, gouache and chalk on firm watercolor paper. (1960). Approx. 73 x 53 cm. Signed lower left. Literature: Rieble, Egon, Albert Birkle.
