TWO MANUSCRIPTS OF THE DALA'IL AL-KHAYRAT BY MUHAMMAD BIN SULAYMAN AL-JAZULI (D. 1465) North Africa, 18th-19th century In Arabic, comprising a miniature copy on papers of different origins, 248 leaves, eight lines of maghribi in sepia ink per page, jadval in red and blue ink, some titles in illuminated cartouches, with diagrams of the rawda al-nabi (one page damaged), in an antique stamped leather binding, possibly original, in an associated orange cloth slipcase; the second larger and very clean but with unfinished decoration, 76 ff. and 48 endpapers in its original stamped and gilt morocco binding. Dim.: 4.8 x 5 cm and 11.6 x 10.8 cm (leaves); 3.1 x 3 cm and 9 x 6.5 cm (written surface)
