PRESUMED PORTRAIT OF EMPEROR CONSTANTINE II IN MARBLE Roman art, 4th century A.D. This imposing male head depicts a man with a slight smile. The pupils of the eyes are marked by semi-circular incisions, as was common practice towards the end of the imperial period. The hair is styled in curved locks arranged in regular horizontal rows. The shoulders are covered with a drape, of which a few folds remain. Gaps and chips visible.
