BRONZE BASTET Egyptian art, Late Period, 664-332 B.C. Statuette of the cat goddess Bastet standing on a rectangular base, wearing a long spindle-shaped dress with engraved motifs, holding the leontocephalic aegis representing Sekhmet in her left hand and the sistrum in her right. A round basket hangs from her left arm. Brown patina. Height Height : 10.5 cm Provenance: Former French private collection, acquired in the 1980s from a Paris antique dealer. Then by descent to the current owner
