A breastplate of the cuirass of the Carabiniers de la Garde Impériale, dated 1833 Heavy iron plate, ridged lengthwise in the center, covered with tombac, round-headed rivet around the edge. The eagle emblem of non-ferrous metal on an iron aureole is doubly screwed to the breast. Inside, on the lower edge of the plate, the maker's signature "Manufre R ale de Klingenthal Juillet 1833" and "1T 1L No. 1682". Rusty iron parts, darkened tombac mounts, signs of use. In as found condition. Condition: II - III
