SABRE DE CAVALERIE

An XI cavalry saber. Leather-covered handle with copper filigree (formerly changed). Brass mounting, four-point guard, three of which are bolted. Blade with double hollow sides, hallmarked, flat-back engraved "Manufre Rle du Klingenthal 8bre 1814", with modified tip 1816. Tin scabbard with two bracelets, with guard serial number.
