Hunting knife. Varnished ebony handle, carved with a bear head and decorated with engraved silver inlays. Silver crosspiece (guard chain missing). Strong, flat-backed blade with hollow sides, one-third engraved with Turkish and Cassaignard motifs. Leather-covered wooden scabbard with two silver fittings (worn and missing). Circa 1760.
