VIERGE HODIGITHRIA Icône russe, école du Palais des Armures du Kremlin de Moscou, fin du XVIIe s. - premier quart du XVIIIe s. recouverte d’un oklad en argent et vermeil fin du XVIIIe s./début du XIXe s. Le maphorion de la Vierge est brodé de perles fines, les auréoles sont serties de diamants de taille ancienne, de pierres semi- précieuse (péridots, améthystes, grenat) et de verre taillé, les cartouches des initiales divines sont en émail bleu champlevé, l’estampage et la gravure sont de qualité remarquable. Moscou 1817 Maître essayeur M.K 84z Maître orfèvre И.Н Ivan Nazarov ou Ivan Nikifor actif jusqu’en 1796 - il est possible que l’oklad ait été contrôlée à posteriori, le travail correspondant plutôt à cette datation antérieure) Tempera sur panneau entoilé. Le fond de l'icône est largement lacunaire, laissant apparaître la toile marouflée sur le support, qui présente de nombreux décollements. Le vernis d’origine a été quasi intégralement levé, le feuil polychrome est très fragilisé, mais sans repentirs. Le style est d’une grande finesse, les traits sont fidèles au réalisme occidentalisé introduit par cette école, ainsi que l’utilisation de la terre d’ombre et des terres vertes. 20 x 16 cm
