A large Chinese red pottery jar and two 'saddle-mouth' handled jars, Siwa culture Bronze Age, c. 1350 - 650 BCE 30cm, 37cm, and 59cm high (3). 寺窪文化 紅陶雙耳罐 Cf. A saddle mouth handled jar was excavated at Disiping, Lianlu, Kangle county in Gansu; (Zhongguo taoci quanji [The Complete Works of Chinese Ceramics], vol. 2: Xia, Shang, Zhou, Spring and Autumn, and Warring States periods, Shanghai, 2000, no. 90.) Two similar Siwa double-handled jars with saddle-shaped mouths are in the Harvard Art Museums, accession nos 2006.170.69 and 2006.170.70.
