KEYSTONE - GITANS "October 28th 1968. A group of gipsies from all over the British Isles today went to the House of Commons, with the purpose of urging that parliamentary legislation making it obligatory for local authorities to provide caravan sites for gipses be expedited. Many of the gipsies were accompanied by their wives and families, and some of the children carried banners with slogans such as 'We Want to go to School.' Five years old Kathleen Connors and her 7-years old brother, Michael, pear through the window of their miniature caravan, outside the House of Commons today". Photograph.
