(small accidents and restorations) The figure of this Sybil is clearly inspired by the Europa in the British Museum (inv. 1854,0605.1.l), part of a series on ancient prophetesses by Léonard Limosin circa 1540. It is likely that a son or grandson of the famous enamel painter was inspired by an earlier composition in the family workshop.
