Irena von Rügen, "Das Modell" Fashion drawing of a model in a black, flowered dress with floral decoration, probably a design for the cover of a fashion magazine ("Das Modell"), watercolour and opaque colours over lead on paper, 1920s/1930s, paper with tears on the left side, attractively framed in a silvered frame behind glass and mounted in a passepartout, folded dimensions approx. 38.5x 29.5 cm. Artist information: German fashion designer (1909 to 1990), trained as a fashion illustrator at the Lette-Verein from 1925-28, already published works in "Blätter für Wäsche, Kleider und Putz" during her training, subsequently worked as a fashion illustrator for the publishing house Otto Beyer until 1945, continued to work as a fashion illustrator after the Second World War, her works appeared in "Garn und Wolle" and "Berlins Modenblatt", later mainly occupied with painting, source: Internet presence of the Lette-Verein.
