Martin Götze, Sweet Grapes Early 20th century, signed on the plinth, brown patinated bronze, depicting a female nude eating grapes, her long hair falling over her shoulders, on a small irregular plinth, mounted on a marble plinth with moulded upper edge, the mounts of the arms reworked, otherwise in good condition for age, h 41.5 cm, h 43 cm overall. Artist information: German sculptor and medallist (1865 Lichtenstein-Callnberg to 1928 Berlin), studied wood sculpture at the Leipzig School of Arts and Crafts, worked in the studio of the sculptor Melchior zur Straßen, settled in Berlin around 1900, exhibited regularly at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition.
