"The New Pipe" circa 1900, unsigned, titled "La pipe neuve" on a modelled plaque, probably made by Johann Maresch Aussig/Bohemia, embossed model number 6458 and incised number 5, painted in earthy colours, man of African descent standing on a natural plinth, proudly and amusedly holding his pipe with African head, hollowed pillar support (probably for lamp shaft), good, professionally restored condition, h 65 cm.
