Bohemian ceremonial vase with pedestal in the old Viennese style probably Count Thun'sche Porzellanmanufaktur Klösterle near Karlsbad, c. 1870, underglaze blue and beige painted beehive mark, both parts in the motif brush-signed C. Herr, mounted in two parts, in the form of a necked amphora with round foot, stepped and concave neck and two volute handles with sculpted eagle heads and domed slip lid, lavishly decorated with glazed coloured ground in purple, rosé and mint green, both sides depicting a mythological or Christian scene in fine polychrome decoration.
