Captain's cup with sailing ship "Margarita" Mid 19th cent, unmarked, broad bell shape with fluted foot and large rectangular cartouche depicting a three-master on the high seas in fine polychrome overglaze painting, black brush mark, gold rims and gold thread, matching saucer with corresponding gold staffage and name Jan C. Petersen, both pieces with old restorations to the rim, the cup with a hairline crack to the left of the ship, the saucer with a glaze spider on both sides and a firing defect to the reverse, h cup 9.5 cm, d saucer 16 cm.
