KPM Berlin Picture Plate "Wallensteins Tod" around 1900, inscribed by hand, impressed mark from 1825, covered embossed marks and incised number 9 3/4-7 3/8, rectangular porcelain plate with fine polychrome overglaze painting, depicting Albrecht Wenzel Eusebius von Waldstein (known as "Wallenstein") lying murdered on the ground and his personal physician and astrologer Giovanni Battista Seni standing mournfully before him, based on a painting by Karl Theodor von Piloty created in 1855, in a wide gilt stucco frame, the latter partially overpainted in colour, otherwise in good condition for its age, plate dimensions 19.5 x 25.5 cm, frame dimensions 38.5 x 44.5 cm.
