Anni Jung, table clock Adam and Eve signed, dated and inscribed "A. Jung. (19)74. Dresden.", light-coloured stoneware, freely modelled, colourfully painted and partly glazed. glazed, open clock case on the reverse as a two-part curtain with pearl trimming and semi-plastic lovers, consisting of a female nude standing in the centre and a partly "concealed" lover, recessed dial with brass hands and mounted Junghans quartz movement above their heads, movement running, small chip to the stand (left of figure), otherwise good condition for age, h 35.5 cm. Artist information: German ceramist, painter and graphic artist (1938 Warsaw to 2022), 1945 relocation to Meissen, 1957-1962 studied painting and sculpture at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts under Hans Steger, among others, then taught as an art teacher at the EOS "Ernst Schneller" (now Gymnasium Franziskaneum) in Meissen, from 1966 freelance artist in Meissen, 1968-1990 member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR, source: Internet.
