Dominique Zumbo large lustre cachepot with figures Les Arènes Fréjus/France, late 19th century, signed and inscribed "Arènes Frejus", terracotta with lustre glaze in yellow, green and red, depicting sea figures, shells and dolphin in surging surf, slight signs of wear inside, overall good condition for age, h 32 cm, d 40 cm. Artist information: French ceramist, learnt his craft from Clèment Massier in Vallauris from 1879, founded his own workshop in Fréjus in 1892, gold medal at the 1900 world exhibition in Paris.
