Baroque longcase clock by Antony Hardman in Landsberg German, circa 1760, signed on the dial, movement with three weights and quarter hour strike on bell, very finely engraved gilt brass dial, riveted sheet brass chapter ring with Roman numerals and minute track and small off-centre seconds, three-part softwood case, veneered in walnut, richly decorated with figural marquetry with pewter inlays and various precious woods, partly stained in colour and fire shaded, the upper figure is a countryman with flag and war equipment, the base with two fighting horsemen, the movement is in need of repair and not complete, the case is in good condition and is slightly rest.bed, H 216 x 42 x 27 cm.
