Standing clock William Jourdain London England, late 18th cent, marked on the dial, heavy brass plate movement with lever escapement, two weights and half-hour strike on an overhead bell, richly decorated brass dial with Roman numerals and Arabic minute scale, small seconds and date display, detachable striking mechanism, in a green painted two-part case, ornamental mouldings and balls bronzed in gold, case in need of restoration, pendulum bob missing, function not tested, provenance: from the estate of Prof. Mrusek, Martin Luther University Halle, dimensions 270 x 55 x 30 cm.
