Tablecloth Peter Behrens Designed in 1907/08, woven artist's monogram, probably made by Simon Fränkel, yellow and white half-linen damask with a surrounding woven chessboard edge and an axially symmetrical design consisting of a wide ornamental border of different groups of three with bag-like flanked weaving boats in the middle of three superimposed discs, five stylised blossoms consisting of five interlocking discs in the central field, white embroidered monogram MH, a small production-related thread snag on the reverse, otherwise in good condition, commensurate with its age and reinforced, dimensions 150 x 160 cm.
