Icon of Our Lady of Pokrov Russia, 18th/19th century, Tempera over chalk ground on a double-blocked hardwood panel, indicated Kovcheg, the upper panel depicting Mary's protection and intercession, with a scene of Mary on a cloud base, carrying her veil in her hand, surrounded by numerous angels and saints to the left and right, the lower panel depicting Andrew surrounded by believers, pointing to Mary and turning to Epiphanius, fragmentary condition, dimensions 30 x 23 cm.
