NASA APOLLO 8 mission - Saturn V launch vehicle Saturn V liftoff from Kennedy Space Center's Pad A Launch Complex on December 21, 1968. Large chromogenic print on Kodak paper, dedicated by Frank Borman "Frank Borman Apollo 8 CDR". 51 x 41 cm Frank Borman, mission commander James Lowell, command module pilot William Anders, lunar module pilot Apollo 8 was the first crewed spacecraft to leave low Earth orbit and the first to reach the moon and place itself in orbit. Apollo 8 took 68 hours to cover the distance to the moon, completing 10 orbits in 20 hours. A certificate of authenticity issued by Sally Poor will be given to the purchaser.
