The Virgin Mary, accompanied by the apostles Saint Peter and Saint John, appears to Saint Sergius and his disciple Saint Micah, both kneeling. The decoration depicts the interior of the monastery. The Trinity of the Old Testament above in a semicircle of clouds is intended to bind Saint Sergius and the Trinity for the glory of the Laure de la Trinité-Saint-Serge.
