Frame: Framed. Provenance: Private ownership, Germany. Fred Meijer believes the painting to be a late work from Barend Graat (presumably from the last decade of his life, ca. 1698-1709). We are grateful to Angela Jager, RKD, The Hague, and Fred G. Meijer, Amsterdam for confirming the attribution of the present painting on the basis of a high-resolution digital photograph.
