Hutschenreuther. Selb. No.138 of an edition of 500. Porcelain, enriched in colours, richly painted in gold. Three-footed vase on a small separate pedestal, designed to mark the visit of Shah of Persia. It symbolises the 50th anniversary of the Pahlavi dynasty through the union of Shah Reza Pahlavi and Empress Farah. Two golden lions with sabres on each side. The blank sides are decorated with the crowns of the Shah and the Empress, including an inscription in Farsi. Height with pedestal 30cm. Manufacture mark in gold.
