Meissen. 18th c. House painting decor in the style of Aufenwerth.
Porcelain, enriched in colours, painted in gold. Metal mounting. The 'Walzenkrug' with cylindrical form and wide handel. On the body house painting decor with Chinese at a tea ceremony in the garden. At the upper and lower rim large ornament straps in golden 'staffage'.
On the mounted lid inserted medaillon with christening scene. Circumferential inscription \"thut Busse undt lasse sich ein ieglicher tauffen auff den Namen Jesu Christi\"(sic!). Thumblift in the form of a lotus blossom. Height 15,5cm.
