Carl Benjamin Schwarz (1757 - Leipzig - 1813), Georgenhaus, Leipzig, with surrounding promenade.
Gouache over pencil, partly heightened with opaque white, on strong laid paper. (1804). 32.1 x 49.1 cm.
In collector's mount. - Paint layer partially rubbed, with tiny losses of pigment (clustered in the area of the sky, particularly in the upper corners). Preserved with fresh colors.
Provenance: Heinrich Brockhaus Collection (1804-1874), Leipzig, since then in family possession.
