FINE TOUDECH NAIN RUG, wool and silk (Iran Imperial workshop, Shah period, circa 1960.) Ivory field decorated with multiple trees of life, richly flowered and finely drawn, surrounded by plants and weeping willow shrubs in the form of polychrome stylized diamond cascades. Seven borders, including the main beige one decorated with a floral composition reminiscent of the central field. Fine lambswool kork velvet, flowers surrounded by silk on cotton foundations. Three-thread work. Density approx. 900,0000 to one million knots per dm2. Good condition Dimensions 229 x 160 cm
