Paris, Guillaume le Bé, 1670. 1 vol. in-folio. Bound in re-used printed parchment. [4]ff preliminaries, 158pp, [5]ff including a title page, 163 to 272pp, [4]ff. Title page framed by a woodcut floral entablature, 148 woodcuts in the first part, 108 in the second part. Tears not missing, pp 237 - 238. Set of 256 mid-page woodcuts and two full-page plates: Assiette des camps, tentes pavillons des enfants d'Israël - description of Solomon's temple at the end of the first part. Second title: Historical figures from the New Testament. Old handwritten notes on back of plates and explanatory leaflets at end of first part: "Ce présent livre appartient à monsieur le Comte de Beauvois... Etienne Le Conte à Châteauroux 1719 - François de la Porte 1743". Pages 3-4, 9-10, 21-22, 53 to 56 are missing. Title reinforced on spine, heavy restorations with reinforcement in margins, adhesive paper to restore tears, occasional missing initials - up to page 50. Binding missing.
