Attributed to André-Romain GUILMET (1827-1892). Extremely rare copper and gilded brass waterwheel automaton clock, featuring a circular dial in the center showing the hours in Roman numerals, flanked by a barometer and thermometer. The wheel with wooden blades is driven by two pumps, rising and falling. The set rests on a cherry-red marble base. Circa 1890. Height 39 - W 35.5 - D 20 cm (the movement of the clock and automaton restored by the "Clinique du Temps" watchmaker in Montpellier, as is.
