MAISON LAPPARRA ET GABRIEL. Part of a silver menagère, the monogrammed spatula underlined by a frieze of interlacing and clasped by a leafy palmette. It includes: twenty-four large knives, twenty large flatware sets (one additional fork), twelve fish knives, twelve fish forks, eleven entremets sets (one additional spoon), twenty-three small knives, twelve dessert sets, twelve ice-cream spoons, four sweet serving sets, one sugar tongs, one ladle, one stewing spoon, one salad set, two shovels, one serving set and one fish scoop. Minerve hallmark. Goldsmiths: Henri Lapparra and Georges Gabriel (hallmark inscribed in 1902). Total net weight: 8.904 kg - Total gross weight (knives): 2.686 kg Total weight of 184 pieces: 11.590 kg (minor wear scratches, bumps to handles of silver-plated knives, two different monograms). Former collection of Albert Sarraut, Governor of French Indochina (1911-1914; 1917-1919), then by direct descent.
