La Bague d'Annibal. Paris, Duprey, 1843. Small square in-12, bradel lemon half-maroquin, smooth spine decorated with gilt fleuron and gold titling, untrimmed, cover (Binding circa 1900). Very rare first edition, published in small numbers by Trebutien. One of only 15 copies on colored paper, this one on pink paper. [...] le papier rose, cette insolente couleur de la jeunesse qui dure deux jours (Barbey, letter to Poulet-Malassis about the Du Dandysme... edition, October 1861). At least one other copy on pink paper is known, having belonged to Léon Duchesne de La Sicotière, a mutual friend of Barbey and Trebutien (see Bernard Loliée sale catalog, VII, 2018, no. 3).
