Fables. Printed by order of the King for the education of Monseigneur le Dauphin. Paris, De l'Imprimerie de Didot l'aîné, 1788. In-4, red morocco, triple gilt fillet, ornate spine, interior roulette, blue moire lining and endpapers, gilt edges (period binding). Superb typographical edition, one of Didot's masterpieces. It was printed with the greatest care in 250 copies on wove paper. A fine copy, with wide margins, in an elegant red morocco binding. Small paper restoration at the bottom of the first 3 leaves. Spine creased.
