Multimedia artist, Cecilia Paredes is known for her elaborate photographs in which her figure mimics the background, through a magnificent bodypaint technique, configuring an elaborate game of camouflage fused with a tremendous staging. His objects, constructions and sculptures speak of a profound relationship between human beings and nature, a link derived from his stay in Peru and Costa Rica. Throughout his career as an artist, Paredes has elevated his work to an international level, holding solo exhibitions at the Contemporary Art Center of San Antonio (Texas), the Museum of Modern Art in Moscow, the Peruvian-North American Cultural Institute in Lima, the World Bank in Washington DC and the Museo de Arte Contrarricense de San José in Costa Rica.
