Cristina García Rodero is a Member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando and the first person of Spanish nationality to join the prestigious Magnum Agency. She is the first woman to be named Doctor Honoris Causa at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (November 14, 2018). She has held numerous exhibitions, both solo and group, in different countries. Her first solo exhibition was held in Mexico with the title Fiestas Tradicionales en España. His exhibition titled España oculta (Hidden Spain) has traveled to multiple venues: Museo de Arte Contemporáneo in Madrid, Encuentros fotográficos de Arlés, Carcassonne and Braga, Fotofest'90 in Houston, Photographers' Gallery in London, Diaframma in Milan, Photokina in Cologne, Zentrum fur Audiovisuelle Medien in Sttutgart, Münchner Stadtmuseum in Munich, Museo Álvarez Bravo in Oaxaca, Museo de Bellas Artes in Caracas and Médiathèque Centre Jean Renoir in Dieppe, among others.
