Description

IRATXE ARTETA (Madrid, 1976). "Sapphire", 2024. Oil on canvas. Attached certificate of authenticity issued by the artist. Signed in the lower right corner. Measurements: 100 x 100 cm; 105 x 105 cm (frame). A soft and vaporous brushstroke defines this conceptual image, reminiscent of the atmospheric quality captured by the master Zóbel. The author retains a certain vibration in the stroke, which denotes the transmutation of a changing reality, immersed in a completely personal atmosphere, which stands out for its lyricism and poetic aesthetics in the form of artistic synesthesia. Iratxe Arteta began her professional career as an illustrator and realist painter, but it is abstract art that has allowed her to transmit the depth of her art and her soul. She is a versatile and persevering artist who creates works with great artistic quality and harmony. Arteta comes from a family of great painters such as Félix Arteta and Aurelio Arteta, winner of the National Painting Prize; some of her works can be admired in the Reina Sofía Museum and the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum. In her exhibitions you can admire works that reflect Iratxe's love for abstract painting and nature, with subtle, delicate and elegant pieces, sometimes textured, and in which light acquires an important role. Certificate of authenticity issued by the artist is attached.
