Graphic humorist, cartoonist and illustrator Ángel Ximenez Herráiz is known for working for numerous publications of the time. The author starts from a realistic language, although the distortion of the anatomy and the saturation of the forms give way to two portraits conceived as a caricature. The painter structures the scene using a synthetic and expressive stroke, similar to the Art Deco trend. The forms tend to a geometrizing essentialism, and the color is applied in flat areas, contrasting colorful chromatisms.
