Enrique Sánchez Leal is a self-taught painter, since his professional career was directed towards the Mercantile Professorship, graduating in Economics in Madrid. However, since the 70's Sánchez Leal has combined painting with his work as an economist. It was after a long career in painting when, in 1993, he decided to devote himself entirely to art. Throughout his professional career he has exhibited his work in various cities in Spain such as Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga and also in England and Italy.

ENRIQUE VERA SALES (Toledo, 1886 - Madrid, 1956). Untitled. Oil on cardboard. Signed in the lower left corner. Measurements: 44 x 55 cm. Enrique Vera began his training in the family workshop with his father, with whom he began to paint in the open air. In 1904 he left Toledo and went to Madrid, where he continued his training in the Ateneo with Joaquín Sorolla. Two years later he was admitted to the San Fernando Academy of Fine Arts. There he was a disciple of Muñoz Degrain and Emilio Sala, and a companion of Zubiaurre and Espina y Capó. He then travelled to Italy on a scholarship from the Ministry to complete his training. From there he travelled to Austria, Germany and Switzerland, and during his travels his painting evolved towards Nordic Impressionism. In 1912 he was awarded an honourable mention at the National Exhibition in Madrid. He returned to Toledo in 1914, and the following year he held his first solo exhibition in Madrid. A member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Toledo, Vera is currently represented in the Museo de Santa Cruz in Toledo, as well as in numerous private collections both in Spain and abroad.
