English school; c. 1900. "Birds." Watercolor on paper. Presents damage to the frame. Signed in the lower right corner. Measurements: 27 x 19 cm; 42 x 32 cm (frame). Watercolor on paper in which both the composition and the format itself indicate that the work was originally conceived as ornamentation of architectural character since an area is without drawing, as if it were the limit of a span. Both the choice of subject matter, featuring birds and plant elements, and the aesthetics of the work show a clear influence of the Arts & Crafts movement and the designs of the artist William Morris (Walthamstow, 1834-London, 1896). It presents damages in the frame.
